1.The Characteristics of Pesticide Small Packaging
As a product with special properties, pesticides have many specific requirements for packaging, as follows:
① meet the requirements of national and local regulations;
② resistant to corrosion of pesticides;
③ meet the requirements of long-distance transportation, not deteriorating, not broken;
④ easy and safe to use;
⑤ clearly marked;
⑥ packaging materials are easy to handle, no pollution of the environment.
In the past, solid formulations are packaged in sealed bags, and liquid formulations are packaged in glass containers. However, in the actual operation process, farmers’ exposure to high-concentration pesticides has increased, and poisoning accidents are quite prone to occur.
In addition, the glass container is fragile, causing pollution of the means of transport and warehouse.
In recent years, with the development of polymer materials, can meet the characteristics of pesticide packaging multi-layer composite packaging bags, plastic containers also came into being.
At the same time, with the rapid development of automatic packaging machine and filling machine technology, the automatic packaging process for polymer materials such as plastics has been grown rapidly and basically finalized.
2.The Category of Pesticide Small Packaging
Generally speaking, pesticides can be divided into dry formulations, liquid formulations and other formulations. Dry formulations include powders and granules, etc.
Liquid formulations include water, oil, water emulsion, etc. Other formulations include smoke, aerosol, slow release, foam spray, electrostatic spray, seed treatment, paste, and so on.
(1)Powder Formulations Bag Packaging (or small granules)
Powder small package is divided into three side seal, four side seal, back seal, stand-up pouches, etc according to the shape.
According to the measurement, it is divided into small package (10-30 grams), small and medium package (30-80 grams), medium package ( 80-200 grams), and large package (more than 200 grams), etc.
Due to the small specific gravity and easy dust-raising characteristics of pesticide powder formulations, it is easy to contaminate the sealing port, causing the sealing to be weak and affecting the quality of product packaging.
Therefore, the choice of pesticide powder machine is relatively important. At present, the preferred model for pesticide powders is the horizontal packaging machine, whose unique bag-making and filling method is the best solution for the packaging of powdery products.
(2)Liquid Formulations Bag Packaging
Liquid formulations packaging, whether it is liquid water, oil or emulsion, can be packaged in bags. Liquid bag packaging can be three-sided seal, four-sided seal, back seal and other different forms.
The adjustment of sealing form only needs to replace the corresponding sealing block. Vertical packaging machine is a more ideal device for liquid bag packaging. The liquid material is not easy to splash because the direction of its bag making and filling is longitudinal.
The discharging form of liquid preparation filling lines mainly includes piston type, gravity type, flow meter type and other liquid level types.
(3)Liquid Formulations Bottle Packaging
Pesticide liquid measurement units are generally divided into 50-500ml, 500-1000ml, and more than 1000ml.
Liquid bottle packaging mainly adopts the filling line.
Unlike bag packaging machines, which are generally stand-alone product, bottle filling equipment belongs to a complete assembly line composed of multiple machines.
Other than bottle filling, there are a series of devices to be used in conjunction with them such as bottle management, capping, and labeling for bottles.
The selection and configuration of each piece of equipment on the assembly line are very important. The unreasonable configuration may cause a waste of resources, and low efficiency and frequent failures.
